My personal hot or cold poker top list #2

Since I got positive feedback from my last hot or cold top list, I will continue on that path and make another one.

Top 3 hot

  1. Krukan Championship: I have always been a fan of ranking competitions of all kinds. I really enjoyed playing in the Krukan tournament week, even if I only had the opportunity to participate on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Congratulations to a very worthy winner (Janne Curylo)
  2. Lisa's blog posts at Pokerskull: Lisa has been writing very sharp reflections on the poker world recently and I especially like this post.
  3. Casino Cosmopol is trying their best: I appreciate that Casino Cosmopol in Stockholm has introduced some changes (A Deep Stack table, 10/10 No Limit and better tournament structures) in recent times. It shows that they're not completely paralyzed, and at least trying to improve their business. Now I hope that they continue on this path so that it can be even nicer to go there more often. They could for example include:
  • better service (slow)
  • better food (bad menu)
  • more dealers (crazy slow)
  • more music in the room (it is hardly possible to hear it now)
  • that cell phones are allowed at the tables

Almost made it: Lunch buffet at Aqui Tapas & Bar (some well-known poker players are running this place). GoalWins Pro Team (a great team). The atmosphere at Club Oden (where you always feel welcome).

Top 3 cold

  1. "Ganglion8": Lately he has done everything right against me on the Internet (Ongame). There is no player I have such problem with and have completely lost my game against him. Stubborn as I am, I continue to play against him and I will certainly try again!
  2. Bad atmosphere at Casino Cosmopol: After the cash game table died at Krukan I went reluctantly to Casino Cosmopol a week or so ago. I ended up at a cash table with several regulars and a few "fishes". Here when you're talking to people it's mostly a negative attitude from regulars who only seem to be there to make money and not to have a nice evening. I played an hour or so before I decided that I've had enough and left.
  3. Unibet: Their online championship of poker was a fiasco. Many players had problems (including me) to log in and make a deposit so they could participate in the tournament. I believe that such a big site like Unibet should be able to handle it better.

Almost made it: Pokerfinnkampen (I'm not there and I would have loved to play but I was unfortunately already booked for something else).

Johan Lendenius

I have my background in the economy sector where I worked several years as a management consultant and controller before I decided to pursue a career as a full time professional poker player in 2005. After that the rakeback company has gradually evolved as a business on the side.

The most important things in my life are my wife, my family and friends and to do well in whatever I'm occupied with for the moment. I see myself as a bit like a 'bon vivant' who does not worry about what happens tomorrow. Someone who loves traveling and good food.

These days I'm mainly playing Texas NL cash games online. When I'm playing live it's usually Texas NL cash games as well, but I also like to play live tournaments. I am
since March 2011 a member of Goalwin's professional poker team.

I'm going to write about my experiences from both live and online poker and my everyday life. You can find previous blog entries from me at:
