I hope you all had a good summer. Personally, for the first time in many years, I stayed at home in Stockholm while waiting to see what our little daughter would look like when she arrived.
Since both I and Patricia love Las Vegas it felt a bit strange not being there this year. We had to be content to watch Pokerstudion every day and the live streaming from the WSOP, which was a very good coverage and something we wouldn't otherwise be able to see. The good thing about being home was that we finally had a chance to spend time with our friends and relatives during the summer.
It has not happened very much interesting in my poker life lately. I have not played any live poker, as Patricia has been home, and I have instead been grindat NL online hard and it's going better and better. Unfortunately, I also played some limit where I tilted the night away, which ate much of the profit pie. In summary, it has been a decent salary anyway if you factor in the rakeback. I'm looking forward to this autumn's grinding as my development is currently going straight up in NL at the same time that I realize it's a lot to work on.
In addition to poker, however, a lot happened...
First of all, I have become a proud father. Our wonderful daughter Astrid was born three weeks ago and she is already daddy's little girl. Both I and Patricia are already thriving as parents and we look forward to seeing Astrid gradually developing.
Beyond that, my co-owned horse Amaru Boko really shown his capacity. He won his trial in Sprintermästaren and beat the course record and Swedish record for 4-year-old horses over the mile distance. In the final he came third and made a very strong performance given that he had not been matched for this race. On Tuesday Amaru Boko won the qualification to the Derby, which is this year's big goal. On the first Sunday in September, it is time for the Derby Finals down at Jägersro (Malmö). I will be there and it's crazy exciting.
Today we went to CPF Poker Series with the Goalwin team for a week. I will try to make a few updates from down below and report how it goes.
